According to Ecuador's National Gas Cooker Replacement Plan announced in March 2026:
• Core Measure: The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, announced the nationwide rollout of 3.5 million induction cookware units starting August 2026. Concurrently, the government will slash high subsidies for oil and natural gas.
